Government student loans offer quite a few perks. For one, federal loans for students are no cosigner student loans. No cosigner student loans allow students who have poor credit history to get a loan to pay for school. This is very important because most students entering university don’t’ have good credit or have absolutely no credit. Government loans for students are also no credit check and feature some very low interest rates.

There are basically two types of government student loans – Stafford student loans and Perkins student loans. If you apply for federal student aid, you will be automatically apply for both of these loans.

Now, there are many situations when federal loans for students are not enough to pay for university. This could be because the rising costs of school are not covered by student loans or maybe you simply can’t qualify for a federal student loan for some reason. If this is the case you will have to look at getting private student loans.

Private student loans are great if you have bad credit. But if you are looking for private student loans without cosigner, you are going to find it tough to find one if you don’t have good credit. All the major private loan lenders for students won’t give out loans if you have poor credit and no cosigner.

The only option if you want a bad credit private student loan is to look at getting a bad credit student loan from online lenders. These can be very good options for some people, but keep in mind that these types of loans will charge high interest rates!

Getting student loans without cosigners are possible – either through government student loans or through bad credit lending facilities. Always use your good judgment though!

Health Care Careers In New York

Lately a debate on hiring older people for jobs that normally young vigorous college graduates are hired for has become a serious issue. Even in the nursing and health jobs sector increasing pressure has been put on employers to hire older people. The main problem most employers have with this, is the fact that they don’t want to spend the money to fund those who are aged as they are more prone to getting infections, and requiring quite a bit of money being shelled out by employers to health insurance companies.

After some recent laws passed in New York making it eligible for those over 60 years of age to get jobs they normally wouldn’t have gotten in the past, many employers are nervous about having to not only hire, but sustain the cost of health care for these newly employed.

Some of the jobs that have made their way into the scene in the health field involve MRI technicians, Nursing and Surgical technicians. The salary in New York city for these job functions is quite good, making it a prime target for all ages to get involved.

A surgical technician salary will definitely not compare with a mri technician salary which would be the most logical job for an older person looking at not having a fast paced career in the surgical tech field which also brings quite a bit of stress with it. This could cause many students to shy away from some programs which offer easy degrees for these jobs. If this happens, it could be possible that we will see a decrease in qualified techs within certain fields, thus posing a problem.

How will other cities fair which also change laws allowing for those who are older to get into new fields they may have not been encouraged too in the past? That remains to be seen.
